Phacoemulsification Workshop Saturday 11 May 2019 from 8am to 5pm Join us at SEH Eye School for an interactive and informative phacoemulsification workshop session. Surgical Skills Training Lab, Level 2, North Block Sydney Eye Hospital. Topics: Pre-operative assessment, anaesthetic considerations, phacodynamic principles: peristaltic vs venturi pumps, biometry basics, lenses: basic types and when to use them, cataract complications, approach to difficult cases, medico-legal aspects. Practical Sessions: Phacoemulsification (wet Kitaro kit), CCC (dry Kitaro kits), corneal incision, wound construction and suturing (chicken wings), loading lenses: 3-piece and single piece lenses, cataract simulator.
